Person Critically Injured in Fairhope Fire

FAIRHOPE, Ala. One person was critically injured when they became trapped inside a home that was on fire.
The Fairhope Fire Department along with other mutual-aid fire departments were dispatched to a structure fire with a report of at least one person trapped, on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, at approxiamtely 4:05 p.m.
When firefighters arrived at the home at 6 Laraway Lane they immediately saw heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home.
Fairhope Fire Chief, police officers and several firefighters made entry into the home and was able to rescue one male from inside the house.
Firefighters began to care for them immediately, when MedStar arrived they took over patient care. The patient was transported by AirCare to a local hospital.
His wife was also transported by ambulance to the same hospital.
Firefighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control.
The state fire marshal’s office has been called in to conduct an investigation.
