Overturned Log Truck Entraps-Injures Driver

A log truck rounding a curve on a road in the Lottie Community lost control and rolled over entrapping the driver Friday morning at around 10:30 a.m.

Baldwin 911 communications received the call about the wreck and immediately dispatched several fire departments and an ambulance.

The driver had to be extricated from the cab of the truck and reportedly had several injuries prompting a medical helicopter to be dispatched to the crash scene located near 57040 Jack Springs Road.

The Lottie and Perdido fire departments provided medical care to the driver and set up a landing zone for the incoming helicopter.

An ALEA trooper was also dispatched to the accident site.

Large wreckers were also dispatched to the accident to remove the log truck from the scene.

The extent of the injuries to the driver is not known but the accident is under investigation by law enforcement.

The road was reopened at 2:32 p.m.
