DOTHAN, Ala It started as a shoplifting caper and escalated to a pursuit through several counties before the suspects were apprehended and taken to jail on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025.
Three Alabama women now accused of being a part of a multi-state theft operation were arrested after authorities said that they led troopers on a high-speed chase through Coffee and Pike counties.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the chase started in Coffee County when a trooper attempted to pull over a Chevrolet Camaro, but the driver refused to stop.
Multiple law enforcement agencies joined in the pursuit and eventually the driver pulled into a parking lot in the 1000 Block of U.S. Highway 231 in Troy and tried to get out of the vehicle while it was still moving.
The driver, identified as 19-year-old Jayden Zakhia Orum, of Montgomery, was immediately captured.
The two passengers in the Camaro, identified as Timia Lashay McCall, 24, of Montgomery, and Brooklyn Janae Denson, 20, of Montgomery, were also captured on the scene.
Troopers say Orum, McCall, and Denson are a part of a multi-state retail theft operation responsible for stealing over $100,000 in merchandise from stores in southern Alabama and northern Florida.
McCall and Denson were both charged with Organized Retail Theft. Orum was charged with Organized Retail Theft and Attempting to Elude.
All three were booked into the Coffee County Jail.
