Multiple Fire Departments Called to Boathouse Fire Early Friday Morning

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. The Baldwin County 911 Communications Center received a call reporting a structure fire at around 3:18 a.m., Friday morning.
The homeowner reported that his boat house and other property were fully engulfed in flames at 7521 Blakely Oak Drive.
The Crossroads and Whitehouse Fork Fire Departments were dispatched, and while responding to the address, they were told that the fire was growing.
The Spanish Fort Fire Department and EMS were also dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters were also made aware that ammunition was being stored inside the structure, and some bullets were exploding.
The fire was brought under control, but the structure could not be saved.
Currently, there are no reports of injuries.
The fire departments did not know how the fire was started, and it is under investigation.
