More Than 212,000 People Attended Mobile’s Mardi Gras Parades on Saturday

The Mardi Gras parades continued to roll in Mobile Saturday, bringing thousands of people into the city to attend the festivities.

The Mobile Police Department estimated that there were more than 212,889 people who attended the parades throughout the day.

Mobile police also made seven arrests during the day on various charges. All were misdemeanor arrests according to a Mobile Police spokesperson.

During the parades, 54 vehicles were also towed and impounded for parking in restricted areas.

At this point, approximately 160 vehicles have been towed during the parades.

The Mobile police reported no significant incidents during the parades.
