Mobile Woman Pleads Guilty to Bank Fraud, Aggravated Identity Theft

MOBILE, AL. A former Mardi Gras queen designate has agreed to plead guilty to accusations that she stole more than a million dollars from her employer according to court records.
Investigators say that Kelley Williamson was a manager and payroll clerk at a Mobile disaster relief and storm debris removal company and that from 2014 to 2023, she made numerous unauthorized payments to herself to the sum of more than $1.3 million.
Williamson has agreed to plead guilty to bank fraud and aggravated identify theft.
Police said that she was spending money at a high rate, using the stolen funds for lavish parties and even ordering an ice sculpture from New Orleans according to police, and went undetected for quite a while.
Williamson will be ordered to pay close to $2 million in restitution and could be sentenced to up to 30 years in prison.
