MOBILE, AL. The driver of a vehicle involved in motor vehicle collision with a motorcyclist on Christmas night in 2024 has been indicted on Manslaughter charges.
The crash occurred on the Dog River bridge, involved Angela Waltman, the driver of the vehicle who was charged with DUI then and Michael Shane Porter who was driving his motorcycle in the southbound lane when he moved into the northbound lane and they collided.
Waltman stayed on scene, police said, and was arrested for DUI.
Authorities determined that Porter had not been drinking.
A grand jury has now indicted Waltman for allegedly, recklessly causing the death of Porter by driving over the speed limit while under the influence of alcohol.
