Mobile Police Make Arrests in Multiple Vehicle Burglaries

MOBILE, AL. On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, officers responded to a vehicle burglary in the 3700 block of Amruth Drive where a firearm and keys were stolen from a vehicle.
Police officers met with the vehicle’s owner and obtained certain information that helped officers in their search for suspects.
Through the course of the investigation, several male subjects were identified.
On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers observed a possible subject’s vehicle in the area of Robin Hood Drive and Lewis Avenue.
Officers initiated a traffic stop where they found Mason Capeless, 20, Braxton Wilson, 19, and a juvenile male subject inside the vehicle and they were taken into custody.
It was discovered that the subjects were involved in several vehicle burglaries around the city and county earlier this month.
During the investigation, officers discovered another juvenile male subject was also involved in the vehicle burglaries.
Capeless and Wilson were arrested and transported to Metro Jail while the juvenile subjects were arrested and transported to Strickland Youth Center.
