Mobile Police Investigating 3 Shootings in One Day

MOBILE, AL. Three shootings in one day in the Port City have the Mobile Police Homicide Division working around the clock trying to solve these cases.
One of those shootings happened near 250 First Court. A male victim has serious injuries and has been hospitalized.
According to the Mobile police, the shooting appears to be between a known subject and victim. No one is in custody, but investigators are working leads.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at approximately 8:25 a.m., officers responded to 367 Bay Shore Avenue (Williams Automotive & Transmission) in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered a male subject shot a male employee during an altercation over his vehicle. He left the area on foot before officers arrived.
Later in the day, a subject was identified and located. Jerrell Elkins, 38, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
At midday Tuesday, police also responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Rex Drive.
When Mobile police officers and the Mobile Fire-Rescue arrived, they found that two male victims were struck by gunfire –one with non-life-threatening injuries and the other with life-threatening injuries, police said. Both were transported to a local hospital.
At this time, police are continuing to investigate this shooting.
