Mobile Police Conducted Enhanced Memorial Day Traffic Patrols

MOBILE Ala. The Mobile Police Department conducted a Memorial Day traffic safety operation in the city to help with driver safety and reduce the number of traffic accidents and fatalities.
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, and Sunday, May 25, 2025, the Mobile Police Department conducted a traffic operation over the busy Memorial Day Weekend. The mission of this operation was to ensure everyone’s safety on the roads this holiday season.
Officers ensured motorists were operating their vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. During the operation, officers verified vehicles were properly registered and insured. The Mobile Police Department does not tolerate drinking and driving, and our officers worked to make sure our streets stayed safe.
Over the two-day enforcement operation, 36 drivers received written citations, while 16 drivers received warnings for traffic violations. The highest number of offenses stemmed from speeding.
Police did not report the number of arrests made for DUI or other criminal offenses.
