Mobile Man Arrested after Breaking Into 20 Vehicles

A man that police say broke into nearly two dozen vehicles is now in the Mobile Metro Jail face twenty counts of breaking and entering.
The Mobile Police Department arrested Jamarcus Murphey for the crimes he committed between January 4th and January 31st, 2025.
A Mobile man was arrested on 20 counts of breaking and entering vehicles between Jan. 4 and Jan. 31, according to police.
Murphy, 22, was able to take cash and electronics in some cases, but in most cases he didn’t finding anything of value.
Authorities said these incidents occurred on Bishop Lane, Shady Oak Drive, Dalewood Drive, Mann Drive, Erhard Drive, Luckner Court, Pallister Place W., Forest Hill Apartments, Spyglass Drive, Conway Drive and Du Rhu Drive.
Mobile police say that Murphy did steal a vehicle in one of his burglaries.
Murphy is also charged with reckless endangerment, two counts of probation revocation, possession of marijuana and possession of illegal prescription drugs.
