Dauphin Island Man Dies in Monroe County Wreck

A two-vehicle crash in Monroe County took the life of a Dauphin Island man, ALEA has reported.

The wreck occurred at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 on Monroe County 1, approximately 12 miles west of Monroeville city limits, in Monroe County.

ALEA troopers said that Stanley Brian Emanuel, 68, was fatally injured when the 2015 GMC Sierra he was driving collided head-on with the 2019 Ford F-550 driven by Crystal Joy Peavy, 43, of Frisco City. Emanuel was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate.
