Mobile Hosting Town Hall Meeting on Gun Violence

Teen violence continues to be a very big issue in Mobile and now there’s a discussion where the community is invited to talk about this is now scheduled at 6 p.m. on April 10 at Revelation Missionary Baptist Church located at 1711 Taylor Lane.
The Department of Public Safety and its Community Advisory Panel will host a Town Hall Meeting on Gun Violence to discuss trends, concerns and prevention.
This event will provide community members with a platform to engage with city leaders about gun violence, share their concerns, and collaborate on community-driven solutions.
Public safety leaders, including Executive Director of Public Safety Rob Lasky and Police Chief William Jackson, will lead the discussion alongside community partners such as Dr. Ashley Williams Hogue from USA Health, Mobile County Health Officer Dr. Kevin Michaels, and MCPSS Superintendent Chresal Threadgill.
This town hall will be an opportunity for all Mobile residents to voice their concerns and learn about local initiatives focused on reducing and preventing gun violence.
