Missing Bayou La Batre Man Recovered Beneath His Boat

BAYOU LA BATRE Ala.
On Monday, authorities responded to a report of a man missing and possibly drowned.
Local police and volunteer firefighters responded to the area off Shell Belt Road.
Authorities were told that the man had been missing since Saturday and was last seen in this area.
Additional resources including the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Flotilla and divers with the Mobile Police Department were brought in to assist with a search of the water near the location where the man was last seen.
The Mobile Police Department Dive Team recovered the body at around 7 p.m. on April 21st, in the water under a boat where the man had been living
At this time, police do not suspect foul play, but the man will now undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
