Protestors have hit the streets of Mobile chanting and holding up signs against the deportation of illegal migrants.
The group of protestors paraded past Government Plaza just moments after the Senior Bowl parade had concluded in what appeared to have been an organized protest.
Some signs read, “School is for education, not deportation,” while others had a stronger message about equality and similar statements.
They said that they were protesting President Trump’s deportation efforts.
Immigrants have the right to due process, of having a day in court said the organizer of the protest. Latin American community is being unfairly targeted and racially profiled.
Most immigrants come to America looking for a better life, not to bring trouble.
The group is planning to have other events in Mobile to protest the administration’s actions in the future.
Further protests may increase as the number of arrests of illegal immigrants continue to climb along the Gulf Coast and elsewhere.
