I-10 Big Rig Wreck Kills 1 Person

A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:06 p.m. Sunday, April 6, has claimed the life of a Mobile man.
Hayley B. Terry, 20, was fatally injured when the 2004 Ford F150 he was driving was struck by a 2005 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by David S. Clark, 70, of Avon Park, Fla.
The F150 then struck the 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Franklin M. Fajardo, 32, of Houston, Texas.
Terry was pounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 10 near the 14- mile marker, approximately one mile west of Mobile, in Mobile County.
ORIGINAL STORY
With heavy rains falling and flooded roadways across Mobile County Sunday evening, Interstate 10 had to be shut down for hours after a multi-vehicle wreck that involved several passenger vehicles and an 18-wheeler truck.
ALEA reported that the collision occurred at around 6:55 p.m. at the 14-mile marker of I-10 Eastbound, in Mobile County, shutting down the Interstate.
Eastbound traffic was diverted off the highway at exit 10 onto U.S. 90.
Fire, EMS, and law enforcement initially responded to the wreck but ALEA troopers took the lead and conducted an investigation to determine how the wreck occurred.
Interstate 10 at the site of the wreck reopened at 1:35 a.m. according to ALEA.
It is unknown at this time, how many persons were injured in the crash.
