Gulf Shores Firefighters Recognized For Lifesaving Efforts

GULF SHORES, Ala.
Gulf Shores Fire Rescue recently awarded Lifesaving Awards to two of their firefighters who jumped into action to assist an individual in need while they were off duty.
According to the fire department, while at the Elberta German Sausage Festival, two Gulf Shores fire personnel came to the aid of an older gentleman who had collapsed.
The Elberta German Sausage Festival Board of Directors sent a heartfelt letter commending Firefighters Travis Willis and Ricky Nolte for their exceptional professionalism and support during their event.
Upon seeing the man down, they sprang into action, performing CPR until he regained consciousness. Their swift actions played a critical role in saving this man’s life.
