Driver Faces 2 Felonies After Mobile Police Pursuit

MOBILE, Ala. Police officers in Mobile attempted to conduct a traffic stop for speeding on Monday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 11:40 a.m.

MPD officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on I-10 EB near Michigan Avenue and activated their emergency equipment and attempted to get the driver to pull over, but he continued to flee police at a reckless speed.

The driver, Steven Davis, 40, was finally stopped and arrested without incident, and transported to Metro Jail.

Davis has been charged with 2 felonies:
Attempting to Elude
Reckless Endangerment
