Female Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Mobile

An accident involving a pedestrian has led to the death of a mobile woman.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 10:06 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, occurred on Alabama 163 near the 1-mile marker, approximately two miles south of Mobile, in Mobile County.
The pedestrian, Melissa B. Phillips, 45, was fatally injured when she was struck by the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Antoine L. Eager II, 20, of Mobile.
Phillips was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division.
