FOLEY, Ala. Multiple federal and local law enforcement agencies caught many off-guard as they raided the Colt Grill in Foley during Tuesday’ lunch hour, which was part of a larger investigation, federal agents said.
Federal agents armed with search warrants entered the restaurant located on Highway 98 and Alston Street, and could be seen removing multiple boxes, which was presumed to be some sort of evidence.
Agents continued their work at the business for more than two hours.
Homeland Security said the raid was part of a Gulf of America Homeland Security Task Force operation where federal search warrants were served at multiple locations.
Colt Grill locations were also raided on Tuesday in Arizona as part of a complex criminal investigation involving money laundering and labor exploitation at all Colt Grill Locations, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona.
The Colt Grill has four locations in Arizona and one in Foley.
Federal law enforcement did not say what their investigation entailed.
