FAIRHOPE, Ala. A Fairhope fire truck has been involved in a collision recently and is out of service.
Engine 1 sustained heavy damage, and we have reached out to Fire Chief Ellis and Mayor Sherry Sullivan for further information.
We have also contacted the Fairhope police for a copy of the accident report.
The city council approved spending $305K for the repair of fire engine number one.
Damage to the fire engine included the right side of the truck, and it appears that it is inoperable.
At this time, there has been no official word from the City of Fairhope on how the fire engine was damaged.
