ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. Four people have been arrested and now face multiple charges after the Escambia Sheriff’s Office conducted a lengthy investigation into multiple cases of stolen property.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies recovered more than $100,000 worth of stolen items at a Cantonment home.
Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons says this search was months in the making.
Law Enforcement converged on the house with a search warrant and recovered more than $100,000 of suspected stolen items.
34-year-old Colby Myrick was arrested for felony possession of stolen property.
30-year-old Shelby Totty, 41-year-old Tyrel Disney, and 31-year-old Justin Odom were arrested at the house for active warrants on unrelated charges.
“Honestly, there were just a bunch of thieves,” Sheriff Simmons said. “They were stealing anything and everything that they could get their hands on.”
“We recovered everything from stolen motorcycles,” he added. “There was a lot of lawn equipment that was recovered. There was a firearm that was recovered, and one individual was arrested for possession of that firearm by a convicted felon.
The sheriff says deputies found meth on one of the individuals as well.
This investigation is still ongoing. The sheriff believes there are more people involved, so there could be more arrests in connection with this house in the future.
