Drug Dealer Sentenced to 16 Years in Federal Prison

MOBILE, Ala. A drug dealer operating in the Mobile Metro area has been sentenced to federal prison for more than 16 years.
Henderson Pippins, 45, of Mobile, faced charges are conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Pippins was also said to be a member of the Darrin Southall drug organization that operated in the Mobile area, according to the Department of Justice.
Court documents revealed Southall ran a criminal enterprise that distributed massive amounts of controlled substances in the Mobile area and laundered the money from that distribution through bank accounts established by “nominees” or a third party.
Southall was previously sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to conducting a continuing criminal enterprise, drug distribution, and conspiracy to launder drug proceeds.
According to those court documents, Pippins was a kilogram-level distributor of drugs in the Mobile area.
He will be subject to five years of supervised release once he is released from prison.
He will also be subjected to testing and treatment for drug and/or alcohol abuse and will be searched “on his person and premises upon reasonable suspicion,” according to court documents.
