Deceased Person Found in Old House in Spanish Fort

A person notified the 911 communications center that they had discovered a deceased person in an old house in the woods on Sunday morning.
The Spanish Fort Fire Department, Medstar ambulance, and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of 32055 Buzbee Road which is just outside of the Spanish Fort city limits.
The property, which had multiple vehicles, and buildings on it surrounded by a wooded area, was unmarked which made it difficult for first responders to identify the building.
But, a deceased person was located by the firefighters inside one of those buildings.
There were no signs of life.
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office took over the security of the scene and has started an investigation into the cause of the death.
At this time, that information is unknown.
The Baldwin County Coroner was also called to the scene.
