Daylong Heavy Rains Leaves It’s Mark in Baldwin County

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. Heavy rains Tuesday brought flash floods, took down some trees and is blamed for several wrecks, before it was all said and done.
Area fire departments were called out to assist police and county deputies to remove fallen trees blocking roads in Daphne, Foley, and on several county roads.
And the Gulf Shores Fire Department responded to a lightning strike that caused a brush fire after a power line fell near the Original Oyster House.
Another tree was found to be blocking Hurricane Road near County Road 86 and area firefighters were dispatched to assist with cutting it up and removing it from the road.
Area flash flooding also left water standing over a number of roads but there were no reports of any major flooding issues in the county.
There were also more than a dozen motor vehicle collisions reported, including several with injuries.
During the daylong rains and thunderstorms there were no serious storm related injuries or property damage reported.
