Cantonment, Fla., Man Dies in Interstate 65 Wreck

CONECUH AL. A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:22 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, has claimed the life of a Cantonment, Fla., man.

Austin E. Brown, 32, was fatally injured when the 2015 Hyundai Tucson he was driving struck the rear end of the 2016 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer driven by Adhanom T. Ghidey, 48, of Houston, Texas.

Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 93-mile marker, approximately four miles south of the Evergreen city limits, in Conecuh County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
