Birmingham Mother and Son Charged in Stabbing Death of Woman’s Boyfriend
BIRMINGHAM Ala.

A woman and her son were arrested and charged in the stabbing death of the woman’s boyfriend in Birmingham.
The Birmingham Police Department said Zingy Gamble, 60, and her son, La Verne Gamble, 40, both of Birmingham were charged and placed in jail.
The police department said Zingy Gamble is charged with murder and her son was charged with hindering prosecution.
The BPD said Earnest Christion Jr., 68, was found suffering from an apparent stab wound at a house in the 2500 block of 15th Street Ensley about 7 p.m. Dec. 31.
Birmingham Police said they believe the stabbing happened possibly during a dispute regarding money between the woman suspect and Christion.
