Baldwin County Investigators Searching For Shooting Suspect

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. On Saturday, August 22, 2026, just before midnight, Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies responded to a home on Pine Grove Road Ext. near the intersection of Nicholsville Road in the Pine Grove Community in reference to a male who was shot.

When deputies arrived, they found the male suffering from several gunshot wounds and rendered immediate care until medical personnel arrived.
Bay Minnet Fire Department and an ambulance also responded to the scene.

The male was transported to a local hospital, then flown to an area trauma center where he remains in stable condition.

Investigators responded to the location along with crime scene personnel and processed evidence into the early morning hours.
Statements obtained from the victim as well as witnesses on scene led investigators to develop Jaytwon Williams (21 y/o) from Bay Minette as the suspect in the shooting.
Williams is currently wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for an unrelated felony domestic violence warrant and is now wanted for the attempted murder of the victim in this case.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘧’𝘴 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 (251-937-0202).

The victim’s identity is not being released at this time, and further information will be shared as this case progresses. The Sheriff’s Office proudly recognizes our patrol deputies whose quick response and lifesaving actions provided a positive outlook for the victim in this very serious case.
