ALEA Traffic Stop Ends With 2 Wanted Persons Arrested

An Alabama State Trooper on patrol conducted a traffic stop Wednesday just after noon which led to the arrest of two wanted persons.
The traffic stop began on Interstate 165 at approximately 12:20 p.m. for a moving violation.
As the trooper investigated further, he was notified that the driver, identified as Jerry D Simmons, had an outstanding felony drug warrant for his arrest.
Simmons has been charged with Possession of Marijuana-1st Degree (felony) and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Additional law enforcement responded to the trooper’s location to assist in the arrest.
In the meantime, the trooper checked on the passenger’s driver’s license status and found that she too, had outstanding felony warrants.
She was identified as Marah V Brown.
Brown was charged with Possession of Marijuana-1st Degree (felony)
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office dispatched several deputies to the scene and both persons were placed under arrest.
Both individuals were transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail and are being held without bond.
