ALEA Investigating Hit and Run Pedestrian Fatality

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. Authorities responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 3:26 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026, and has claimed the life of a Grand Bay man.
Police and firefighters, along with EMS were dispatched to the area of Three Notch Road near Goldmine Road East, approximately one mile west of Mobile city limits, in Mobile County.
The pedestrian, Jobrandon M. Crayton, 41, who was in the roadway at the time of the crash, was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
Crayton was transported to University (USA) Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
ALEA troopers also responded and are conducting a hit and run investigation and say that at this time the suspect is still at large.
