ALABAMA Alabama singers, start tuning up your voice because American Idol is inviting you to audition for their competition TV show this month!
Aspiring singers in Alabama will have the chance to showcase their voices during virtual auditions for American Idol on Sunday, September 29. The auditions are part of the “Idol Across America” program, which allows contestants from every state to participate through Zoom sessions.
Performers will be able to sign up for open-call online auditions and sing face-to-face with producers. Unlike video submissions, the process offers real-time feedback, providing participants with a genuine first step toward competing on the iconic stage.
American Idol first aired on the FOX network from June 11, 2002, to April 7, 2016, and then it was on hiatus until March 11, 2018, when a revival of the series began airing on ABC for a total of 15 seasons.
Alabamians have regularly been on the show and out in front, including winners Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks. And there’s been plenty of others like finalists like Bo Bice, Jessica Meuse, Dexter Roberts, and C.J. Harris, along with more recent Top 10 contestants Walker Burroughs, Mia Matthews, Triston Harper, and Paul McDonald.
Anyone interested can find details, full eligibility requirements, and registration information at the official audition site.
