Fairhope Man Arrested For Online Felony Threats

FAIRHOPE, Ala. An investigation by federal law enforcement has resulted in the arrest of a Fairhope man by the U.S. Marshals.
Police received a criminal complaint from the Epic Games online company about an Alabama man who posted threats on an online video game system.
29-year-old Edward Frith threatened violence and law enforcement from several agencies took the threats seriously and were able to track Frith to Alabama.
Federal prosecutors said Frith stated that if he were ever arrested, it would likely be for “killing a cop.” Authorities also alleged Frith stated he would shoot FBI agents if they came to his residence.
The Fairhope man has been indicted on a federal charge of interstate threatening communications and other charges and has been taken into custody.
Frith is currently booked into the Baldwin County Detention Center.
