Citronelle Man Sentenced to 15 Year Prison Sentence For Stabbing-Also Faces Attempted Murder Charges

MOBILE, AL. A Citronelle man charged in an armed assault of a man has been found guilty by a jury and will serve 15 years and a day in prison after a judge sentenced him.
A jury found Joshua Skipper guilty of first-degree assault in April.
Prosecutors presented evidence at the trial showing that it was Skipper who attacked and cut a man with a large knife at a lounge in November 2025.
Skipper has also been charged with two attempted murder charges in separate incidents.
Those charges stem from two different shootings that happened in 2022. He is accused of shooting Justin Trevino in the chest in November 2022, causing life-threatening injuries.
The other attempted murder charge stems from a shooting in October 2022 where Skipper shot Tina Stagner during an incident
Both cases are set for a status hearing in October.
