2 People Dead in Spanish Fort Murder-Suicide

UPDATE: The victim from Sunday’s incident on the Causeway has been identified as Veromonique Ntseful-Dubose, 41, of Mobile. Her husband, Taurean Dubose, 36, of Mobile, was also found deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
SPANISH FORT, Ala. A passerby contacted 911 at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday on October 19, 2025, to report a possible medical emergency inside a vehicle.
The caller told the 911 operator that it might be a heart attack, but then reported seeing bullet holes in the vehicle.
The Spanish Fort Police, Spanish Fort Fire Department, and Medstar rushed to the Causeway, across from Ralph and Kacoos, located at 1595 Battleship Parkway.
The Spanish Fort Fire Department arrived on-scene quickly and reported that a male and a female were deceased inside the car and that there were bullet holes in the vehicle. Spanish Fort police officers also arrived and took over the scene.
Spanish Fort Police Chief John Barber stated that the shooting preliminarily looked like a murder-suicide but that the investigation was ongoing.
