2 People Dead in Elberta Multi-Vehicle Wreck

ELBERTA Ala. Two people are dead after a multi-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon at around 1:25 p.m. that occurred on US 98 in the town of Elberta.
The driver of a 2014 Buick Enclave, Johanna A. Martin, 89, of Lillian, and Toni L. Robinson, 55, of Lillian, who was a passenger in the Enclave, were both fatally injured after being struck in the rear by the 2020 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Daniel E. Middleton, 74, of Foley.
Robinson was pronounced deceased at the scene. Martin was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola Fla., where she later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.
After the initial collision, the Buick Enclave then collided head-on with the 2010 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Donald B. Childress, 70, of Gulf Shores.
Middleton was injured and transported to South Baldwin Hospital for treatment. Childress was also injured and transported to South Baldwin Hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. 98 near the 70-mile marker, within the Elberta city limits, in Baldwin County.
