18-Wheeler Wreck Shuts Down I-10

A wreck on Interstate 10 near mile marker 59 just before 6:00 p.m. interrupted the evening commute and shut down the Interstate in Baldwin County for more than hour.

An 18-wheeler crash where at least one person was injured was the scene of a lot of activity as police, fire departments and an ambulance rushed to the area after several people called 911 to report the crash.

A medical helicopter was also called to the scene, but it is not known if a patient was airlifted from the site.

ALEA said that the wreck is under investigation.
