Wreck Involving Overturned Log Truck Injures Several Persons

An early morning multi-vehicle wreck on a rural Baldwin County roadway shut down several roads for hours and injured several people.
The 4:30 a.m. wreck involved a log truck that rolled over and dumped logs all over the roadway and a second vehicle occurred on County Road 112 and shut down several roads in the area.
According to authorities, a medical helicopter also was brought in to transport one of the drivers to a trauma center.
The Styx River, Gateswood, and Bay Minette Fire Departments, along with EMS were all dispatched to the accident scene to assist with patient care, traffic control, and setting up a landing zone for the medical helicopter.
At this time the condition of the drivers has not been made known.
ALEA is investigating the crash.
