Worker Bush Hogging in Fairhope Hits Gas Line

The Baldwin County 911 communications center received a call Tuesday from a worker
reporting that he had hit a gas line in Fairhope while bush hogging.

Both the Fairhope police and fire departments responded to 21767 Gallery Blvd. around 11:30 a.m. and they did find an active gas leak.

The utilities department was called to respond as firefighters stood by.

There were no reported evacuations, and the situation was under control within a short time.
