Daphne Police Investigating Shooting

DAPHNE Ala.
July 31, 2024 

Police responded to a shooting at the 10X Audubon Park Apartments located at 8160 CR 64 Tuesday night at around 7 p.m. 

Daphne Fire Department and an ambulance also responded after receiving a 911 call that a person had been shot. 

Due to the severity of the injury, a medical helicopter was also called to the scene.

The Daphne police say that they have determined that the shooting was accidental.

The condition of the person shot is unknown at this time.

In March, a man was murdered and a second person was shot and critically wounded at this apartment complex.

Joseph (Kaynen) Gurley, 23, was charged with murder and attempted murder. 

This is the third person in our area who has been accidentally shot during the past few weeks including a man who shot himself in the Fairhope Walmart parking lot.
