Woman Dies in Mobile County Head-On Collision

A head-on collision accident early Sunday morning has taken the life of an area woman according to law enforcement.
Alabama State Troopers say a woman from Mobile is dead after two pick-up trucks collide head-on before dawn Sunday morning.
Authorities say 55-year-old Deborah Conterras died when the pickup truck she was driving collided head-on with another pickup on McDonald Road after 1 am Sunday morning.
The crash happened about eight miles south of the Mobile city limits.
Area fire departments, EMS and police responded to the scene and assisted.
Law enforcement said that Conterras was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers did not release the name of the driver of the second pickup truck.
ALEA is continuing the investigation.
