Woman Arrested After Resisting, Biting Police Officer

MOBILE, Ala.

Mobile police officers responded to the area of 3875 Airport Blvd., a Burger King, Thursday at around 3:38 p.m. looking for a wanted fugitive.
Officers spotted Shanel Jakavia Curry who was wanted for a felony and was trying to arrest her when she bit one of the police officers and resisted arrest.

Now that woman is sitting in the Mobile metro jail accused of multiple crimes.

The officer was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, police said.

Curry is facing charges of second-degree assault on law enforcement, and other charges.
