Woman Arrested After Fleeing ALEA Traffic Stop

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. On Monday, September 15, 2025, just before 3:00 p.m., an ALEA trooper was conducting traffic enforcement on the Causeway when he observed a female driver commit a traffic offense and conducted a traffic stop.
After the trooper contacted the female, she sped off and led police on a pursuit.
Additional officers were dispatched to assist in the chase and the driver later identified as Nykhesia A. Koen, 30, was taken into custody but continued to resist arrest.
During a search by troopers, they also found illegal narcotics.
Koen has been charged with:
Obstructing Law Enforcement
Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement
Possession Of Dangerous Drugs
Drug Paraphernalia-1st Offense
Giving False Identification to a Law Enforcement Officer
Koen has been booked into the Baldwin County Detention Center and is being held on a $9000 secured bond.
