Vehicle Ignites During Wreck Killing Driver

MOBILE, AL. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has reported that a single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:49 a.m. Saturday has claimed a life.

The driver of a 2012 Cadillac SRX was killed when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and became engulfed in flames. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene and was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for identification, ALEA said.

According to ALEA, the name of the driver has not been released.

The crash occurred on Bellingrath Road near Delchamps Road, about nine miles south of Mobile city limits.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
