Water Main Repaired After Bursting in Fairhope

Cold weather more than likely played a part in a water pipe that broke as the sun went down in Fairhope.

The road was blocked for quite a while at the intersection of Fels Avenue from Liberty to Church Street.

According to city officials, the water had to be turned off as their crew worked to fix the burst pipe that took several hours to repair.

During the repairs, traffic was also diverted.

At this time, the water is back on, and officials are determining the cause of the break.
