Wanted Suspect Fled Sheriff Deputies at Over 120 MPH

MOBILE, AL. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies spotted a driver doing more than 120 mph in the Theodore area and now that driver faces multiple charges.
Jacob Tyler Wheeler, 32, was arrested near Evonik and Industrial roads near Theodore Industrial Park after deputies said he tried to elude them during a pursuit.
Wheeler is now charged with trafficking fentanyl, resisting arrest, attempt to elude, using a false identity and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff’s office said that Wheeler also had several outstanding arrest warrants charging him with escape and probation revocation.
At this time, Wheeler is being held at the Mobile County jail with no bond.
