Wanted Murder Suspect Surrenders to Mobile Deputies

MOBILE, AL. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Deanta Dubose on outstanding warrants for Murder and Theft of Property First Degree.
On September 15, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the MCSO Special Operations Unit, Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located at 1208 Barker Drive West as part of the investigation.
The residence was unoccupied at the time the search warrant was executed. Investigators searched the residence and concluded the search without locating any items related to the warrant.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. that same day, Dubose arrived at 111 Canal Street, accompanied by family members, and turned himself in at his probation officer’s office.
MCSO investigators responded to the location and took Dubose into custody. A vehicle used to transport Dubose to the probation office was also searched with the owner’s consent. No evidence was located during that search.
Dubose was transported to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, where he requested an attorney.
He was subsequently transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail and booked on the outstanding warrants for:
- Murder
- Theft of Property First Degree
