U.S. Coast Guard Says Fisherman is Missing

A fisherman from the Coden area is missing according to the U.S. Coast Guard after he was last seen fishing on Heron Bay in a small boat.

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Mobile stated it is looking for any information on a beige, 13-foot skiff that launched out of the 3 Men and A Boat seafood wholesaler in Coden at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The Coast Guard said Edward Wescovich, who may be 47, was reported to be on board and last checked in at 10:30 p.m.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts or sightings of Wescovich or the vessel is asked to contact the Sector Mobile Command Center at 833-662-8725.
