Two Police Pursuits Within Hours Lands Drivers in Jail

MOBILE Ala. Mobile police officers were involved in at least two pursuits on Tuesday resulting in the arrests of both drivers.
On Tuesday, July 2, 2025, at approximately 9:57 a.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was driving near Government Boulevard and McVay Drive North for a traffic violation.
But the driver, later identified as Nyeshia Brewster, 24, refused to pull over and engaged police in a pursuit
A brief vehicle pursuit ensued, and police eventually got the vehicle in the 1200 block of Murray Hill Court.
The driver was taken into custody without further incident.
Brewster, 24, was transported to Metro Jail and has been charged with:
ATTEMPT TO ELUDE-FELONY-B
NO DRIVERS LICENSE
FAILURE TO SHOW VEHICLE REGISTRATION
Later in the day, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Martin Drive in reference to a domestic complaint.
Upon arrival, officers did not observe the subject because he had left before their arrival.
After the officers left the location, the subject returned to the victim’s residence and was observed by the officers the second time, leaving the victim’s residence.
A short vehicle pursuit ensued, and the subject bailed on foot.
The subject was taken into custody without further incident.
Marvin Holifield, 49, was transported to Metro Jail and has been charged with:
