Two Persons Injured in Stabbing at the Wharf

New Year’s Eve and early New Year’s Day unfortunately brought several incidents of violence to the island including a stabbing in Orange Beach.

Police responded to the Sandshaker located at 4851 Wharf Parkway for a fight in progress involving a stabbing.
One person was reportedly stabbed in the stomach twice. Another person received slashes to his hands and an arm.

Orange Beach Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and provided medical aid to several people.

Shamar Ezell O’Brien Porter was arrested a short time later and charged with Second Degree Assault.

There’s no word on what started the situation or if any others were involved.

Both injured people were treated and released.
