Two Persons Charged in Organized Retail Theft Bar Code Scheme

MOBILE, Ala. Two people have been arrested for Felony Organized Retail Theft in a brazen and deceitful attempt to buy merchandise at a lower price.

Police said that store employees watched them as they changed the bar codes on merchandise as to reduce the cost of the items.

Lisa Nelson, 47, and George Nash, Jr., 36, were taken into custody and police responded to the Walmart, located at 101 E. I-65 Service Road.

Nash is also wanted on outstanding warrants in Mississippi and has a hold on him at the Mobile Metro Jail for other law enforcement agencies.
